On the Hill: Snowboarding in July
Ryan Summerlin July 26, 2013
Today’s activity: Snowboarding in July
Conditions: A popular goal among skier/snowboarders in the Colorado Rockies is to attempt a “Never Summer” by skiing or riding at least one day in every month of the year. This year, thanks to the late snowfall we received in April and May, the July shred hasn’t been as hard to find as it was last year, but August may be tough as it’s been quite warm as of late.
Today’s weather: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 p.m.. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. — National Weather Service
