On the Hill: Surfing Sylvan Lake
July 16, 2013
Today’s activity: Surfing Sylvan Lake.
Conditions: About 10 miles south of Eagle, Sylvan Lake is the only state park in the county and is a beautiful place to spend a day. The lake itself is popular among anglers and campers, but it’s also a great place to learn to SUP or get comfortable on a tube. The water is crystal clear, and being a state park, the lake and trails surrounding it are very well maintained.
Tomorrow’s weather: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming east southeast in the afternoon. — National Weather Service
