On the Hill: Viewing the new attractions on Vail Mtn
Ryan Summerlin August 12, 2013
Today’s activity: Checking out the new zipline, ropes course attractions at Adventure Ridge
Conditions: Vail is getting ready to debut the resort’s newest attractions for guests: a zipline and ropes courses atop the Eagle Bahn Gondola at Adventure Ridge. The zipline is 1,200 feet and takes thrill seekers from the top of the tubing hill to the area near the bottom of life No. 15 “Little Eagle.” The ropes courses are divided into three different ability levels which skiers and snowboarders should recognize — green, blue and black. The official grand opening will be Saturday at 11 a.m. with free food and drinks.
Today’s weather: Scattered showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. — National Weather Service
