EAGLE — Eagle Town Park will once again be the place to be on Thursday nights this summer as the Moe’s Original BBQ’s ShowDown Town free concert series returns to Eagle. The free concerts will kick off July 2 at 6:30 p.m. with Tori Pater and the Dyrty Byrds, a classically driven, Southern-influenced rock ‘n’ roll band with a Rocky Mountain twist.
The series continues every Thursday evening through Aug. 13, presenting a variety of musical artists, including Willie Nelson’s granddaughter, Raelyn Nelson (July 23). Other featured bands will include Chicago roots-rock favorite the Freddy Jones Band (Aug. 13) and one of the longest running Grateful Dead tribute bands in the world, The Original Shakedown Street (Aug. 6).
This summer’s concerts will also feature Eagle-based Bonfire Brewing Co. as the official beer partner for the free concert series. The brewery will be offering an on-site public beer garden, along with post-concert tap room specials.
“Bonfire is beyond excited to partner with Moe’s Original BBQ, the town of Eagle and the Vail Valley Foundation to help take Eagle’s premier summer event to the next level,” said Andrew Jessen, owner and founder of Bonfire Brewing Co. “By offering limited craft beer sales, we hope to help the concert series attract an even wider audience to downtown Eagle.”
Plan on packing a picnic or visiting one of the food vendors located throughout the park.
