Through Specialty Sports Venture’s holiday Adopt-A-Cause campaign, local Vail and Beaver Creek Sports stores raised over $34,000 from shoppers for local organization Foresight Ski Guides. Vail Resorts Echo matched shoppers’ donations 50 cents to the dollar, adding $17,000 to the pot and resulting in a total Adopt-A-Cause contribution of $52,285. employees from Specialty Sports Venture’s Vail and Beaver Creek Sports presented Foresight Ski Guides with a check Tuesday at Golden Peak. According to Foresight’s Mark Davis, ““The funds from Specialty Sports will help expand Foresight’s mission which is based on our challenge recreation philosophy. Through our program, blind and visually impaired skiers challenge themselves to take risks, overcome fears and emerge from their ski trip knowing that they can live rich, full lives despite their blindness or visual impairment.”
