Rally ‘Round the Family to play Samana tonight
Ryan Summerlin February 17, 2013
The music of Rage Against the Machine has been loved by many people over the years.
Tonight, this sound will come to Samana Lounge as Rally ‘Round the Family takes the stage.
Rally’ Round the Family began in 2011 after a collaborative show of ’90s music with a large number of Denver musicians, billed as Foolin’ Around in the ’90s.
Finally, the band came together after fully realizing there was a want and need in Colorado and beyond for the music of Rage Against the Machine in a live setting. So in March, Rally ‘Round the Family was finally born.
This show is to give back to the local kids who have loved the Rage Against the Machine sound for years. Promoter Ross Cohen has set this night up so that Rally ‘Round the Family will start at midnight and locals can get off of work and enjoy this event, he said. “These guys sound just like Rage Against the Machine,” Cohen said.
Opening the evening will be The Wagon Wheel Chandeliers. They will be doing an improv alternative rock opening set.
