Review continues in golf clubhouse renovation

VAIL, Colorado – The design for the Vail Golf and Nordic Clubhouse renovation will be reviewed by the Design Review Board and Planning and Environmental Commission during separate meetings on Wednesday and Monday, respectively. The meetings will be held in the Vail Town Council Chambers.
A conceptual review by the Design Review Board on Nov. 7 follows the submission of an application by the town on Oct. 25 and is listed sixth on the agenda, which is available on the town’s website at http://www.vailgov.com.
The Planning Commission meeting on Nov. 12 will continue a review of the project and its three development applications to facilitate the renovation:
• Re-zoning a portion of the property from General Use to Outdoor Recreation.
• A text amendment to the Outdoor Recreation District to increase allowable building height.
• Amendment to the existing Conditional Use Permit to allow for modifications to the clubhouse.
Supplemental materials have been added to the town’s application to address previous input and provide the Planning and Environmental Commission with additional detail. Specifically, a management and operation plan has been provided to address the review items pertaining to the Conditional Use Permit. The supplemental material was submitted the week of Oct. 28.
The Monday Planning Commission review could result in a vote on the project, which would be final as to the Conditional Use Permit and would include recommendations to the Town Council regarding the re-zoning and proposed text amendment. The agenda item will be available online at http://www.vailgov.com on or before Nov. 8.
