AVON – French winemakers Stanislas Wallut, Matthieu Barrett, and Christophe Mingeaud will be pouring wine from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at vin48 in Avon Tuesday as part of the restaurant and wine bar’s Loft tasting series. Charles Hays, vin48’s chef and owner, will pair the wines with appetizers in the restaurant’s loft above the wine bar.
Stanislas Wallut, Matthieu Barrett, and Christophe Mingeaud will pour seven of their organically produced Rhone wines in vin48’s loft.
“This tasting is a great opportunity to meet with the next generation of young Rhone producers and taste their wines from Cornas in the north down to Chateauneuf du Pape,” said Greg Eynon, wine director/owner of vin48. “All the winemakers employ organic and or biodynamic practices and the wines collectively show a distinct purity and elegance that has been is very promising for the appellations future.”
