Robert E. Horgas, 1950-2012
Ryan Summerlin July 14, 2012
Robert E. Horgas, the son of Anna and George Horgas, died June 23 in Denver.
Robert was born Oct. 9, 1950 in Denver. He served as a member of the U.S. Air Force from 1969 to 1973. His passions included riding his bike, playing golf and, most of all, spending time with his friends and family.
Horgas, as he was known, never met a stranger. His outgoing personality and fun-filled approach to life was one of a kind. His successful career as a hairstyling professional allowed him to engage with people and continue making friends throughout his lifetime.
He lived in Vail for about 20 years and owned a hair salon in the valley. He also worked for a short time as a volunteer host at Vail Mountain.
He was loved by his family and friends and will be greatly missed. God bless.
Services are scheduled for today at 7 p.m., at the Denver Botanical Gardens – across the street from Robert’s previous residence, 1065 Gaylord St., Denver. Reception to follow at Brio Tuscan Grille, 2500 E. 1st Ave., Denver.
