Salvation Army needs bell ringers

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – The U.S. Salvation Army assists more than 4.5 million people during the Thanksgiving and Christmas time periods with food pantries, rent assistance, utilities, and holiday food baskets.

Do you have two hours to spare? Can you help?

All of the money collected in the Salvation Army kettles gets spent on the needy in our area. Many cities hire bell ringers to manage the kettles; in the Vail Valley they are all volunteers.

Could you spare two hours? Salvation Army has seven kettle locations: City Market Vail, City Market Avon, City Market Eagle, Walmart, Safeway Vail, Edwards Village Market and Columbine Market in Gypsum.

Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. every day until Christmas Eve.
