Samana Lounge celebrates its 8-year anniversary in the Vail Valley today.
To celebrate the anniversary, tonight Samana will offer free well cocktails from 8 to 9 p.m., $1 well drinks from 9 to 10 p.m., $2 wells from 10 to 11 p.m., and $3 wells from 11 p.m. until close.
“This is a good way for Samana to say thank you for all the support for the past eight years,” said the bar’s general manager Shareef Hammad.
According to Hammad, the venue’s success comes from its diverse live entertainment options, which include everything from bluegrass and funk bands, to live electronic acts, as well as local, international and national DJ talent.
This season, Samana Lounge upgraded its sound system and added new lighting. This season the bar will host big name acts including Mark Farina, Jerry Joseph, The Malah, and Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, to name a few. The bottle service area has also been upgraded for a more comforting feel. Extra security measures on both the front and back doors of the venue have been added for increased safety while in the venue.
This coming winter Samana Lounge will offer early evening drink specials. Hammad said th bar will run an ongoing special known as “power hours” where well drink prices start at $1 from 8 to 9 p.m. then go up to $2 from 9 to10 p.m. and, Monday through Thursday, will extend an extra hour, from 10 to 11 p.m. when well drinks will be $3.
To increase local business, the bar is hosting two new weekly events this winter. Every Wednesday, Samana hosts Mo and friends, pairing local DJ Mo:Rockin with both local and national electronic acts. Every Monday is open turntable night.
