Semi rollover accident closes westbound I-70 ramp at Eagle

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) closed the I-70 westbound on ramp at mile marker 147 on Tuesday due to a semi-truck rollover accident blocking the lanes. Colorado State Patrol, CDOT crews and members of the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District were on scene. No injuries have been reported and crews are awaiting a hazmat team to arrive. The westbound on and off ramps were closed Tuesday evening as well   crews cleaned up the scene.

EAGLE – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) closed the I-70 westbound on ramp at mile marker 147 on Tuesday due to a semi-truck rollover accident blocking the lanes. Colorado State Patrol, CDOT crews and members of the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District were on scene. No injuries have been reported and crews are awaiting a hazmat team to arrive. The crew on-site has reported minimal leakage of diesel at the scene.

Currently all roads in the area remain open. Motorists can expect a full-closure of the westbound on and off ramp and the northbound roundabout after 6:30 p.m. tonight as crews engage in vehicle recovery to clear the scene.
