Slifer Designs adds Vail ‘pop-up’ store

VAIL — Slifer Designs has opened a “pop-up” showroom in Vail Village. Also known as flash retailing, these small temporary shops give customers the chance to get a glimpse of a company’s offerings while strolling through town.

“This is really exciting for Slifer Designs,” said Susan Ferrari, vice president of retail at Slifer Designs. “Our little shop in Vail is well stocked with everything our larger store in Edwards has but in a much more intimate setting. Everything in the shop is for sale. It’s something different from what we’ve ever done.”

What keeps the store fun and invigorated is the constantly changing product. If one table sells, then it’s replaced with a different one. The intimate store is on Gore Creek Drive and features items including pillows, art, accessories, chairs, sofas and gifts. While the company’s main showroom is now in Edwards, the firm’s first store opened on Bridge Street almost 30 years ago.

The Slifer Designs pop-up showroom is located at 166 Gore Creek Drive, across from Sweet Basil. The shop will be open through Sept. 16. Sundays through Thursdays hours are 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays hours are 10 a.m.-9 p.m. For more information, call at 970-926-8200.
