VAIL, Colorado – Slifer Smith and Frampton has taken a strong interest in supporting the public schools of Eagle County. Education Foundation of Eagle County is an organization raising private funds to the fill the current gap in public funding for our local schools. With a strong belief that our schools are a reflection of our community and neighborhoods, Slifer Smith and Frampton has offered to match their brokers’ donations with a commitment total of $10,000.This is in addition to the roughly 5 percent of net income that Slifer Smith and Frampton donates annually to Eagle County charities and nonprofit organizations.”As a company that was founded in the Vail Valley 50 years ago we’ve watched the area grow from a vision to a world-class destination,” said Jim Flaum, president and managing broker. “We recognize the importance of philanthropy in achieving, maintaining and enhancing the place we call home.”Slifer Smith and Frampton has donated or sponsored more than 75 local organizations. Organizations touched by their philanthropy range from those focusing on issues in the medical field, social issues, local beautification, sporting activities, education and local business development. “Vail, Beaver Creek and surrounding areas became what they are today because visionaries committed themselves to a cause,” said Flaum. “We believe that a key component to a strong community is the willingness of its residents and businesses to give back.
