Sonnenalp hosts dance events during Vail International Dance Festival

VAIL – New in 2012, the Sonnenalp hosts monthly dance nights, which include dance instruction, food, drinks, and open dancing. Guests in town for the Vail International Dance Festival (VIDF) will find similar events in the upcoming week.
Being the host hotel, VIDF dancers will be dining and mingling with guests throughout the dance festival. In addition, the Sonnenalp, in conjunction with the VIDF will host a Milonga on Aug. 5 with Gabriel Misse, one of the world’s most acclaimed Argentinean Tango dancers. The ticketed event is open to the public.
“The Sonnenalp has been embracing dance as a cultural and participatory activity that brings hotel guests and locals together for fun events since last winter,” said Johannes Faessler, the Sonnenalp’s owner. “Our sponsorship of Vail International Dance Festival furthers our commitment to providing dance and dance related activities in the Vail community.”
From Aug. 4 – 11, the Sonnenalp’s King’s Club will be “the” place for food, drink specials (including the Tip-Toe Mojito) live music and to rub elbows with the night’s performers after the show.

Aug. 4 – Sonnenalp hosted dancer dinner at the Swiss Chalet (public mingle with dancers at the King’s Club 10 p.m. to midnight)
Aug. 6 – Sonnenalp hosted dancer dinner on the terrace at Ludwig’s (public mingle with dancers at the King’s Club 10 p.m. – midnight)
Aug. 7 – Sonnenalp hosted dancer dinner on the terrace at Ludwig’s (public mingle with dancers at the King’s Club 10 p.m. – midnight)
Aug. 10 – Sonnenalp hosted dancer dinner in the library at King’s Club (public mingle with dancers at the King’s Club 10 p.m. to midnight)
