Sonnenalp in Vail hosts salsa dance classes

VAIL – Sonnenalp Resort is putting a twist on dancing with its first-ever salsa dance night set for Friday at 6 p.m.

Join the Sonnenalp, in conjunction with Community-Minded Dance and the Vail International Dance Festival, as it presents salsa dance lessons at Ludwig’s.

“Our tango nights were such a hit throughout the valley we decided to change things up by creating a salsa night,” said Johannes Faessler, owner of the Sonnenalp. “Between the dancing, tapas and drink specials on our beautiful terrace, this event will be a spicy summer evening in Vail.”

Guests have two options to choose from: $15 per person for social dancing from 8:30 to 11 p.m or $38 per person, which includes dance lessons, light tapas from Ludwig’s as well as the social dancing, starting at 6 p.m.

The tapas menu for the evening includes shrimp and lime ceviche, rabbit white bean stew, smoked shrimp with pineapple salsa and several other dishes. Desserts will include tres leches trifle, South American chocolate churros with passion fruit sauce and lemon guava meringue.
