Sonnenalp in Vail hosts swing dance lessons Friday

VAIL – Put a little swing in your step this Friday at Sonnenalp Resort of Vail.
Join the Sonnenalp, in conjunction with Community-Minded Dance and the Vail International Dance Festival, a project of the Vail Valley Foundation, as they present Swing dance lessons at Ludwig’s.
“Our goal is to keep our dance concept evolving by offering a variety of events each month,” said Stefan Schmid, hotel manager of the Sonnenalp. “Guests will have the chance to learn the East Coast Swing, Triple Step Swing, the Charleston and the Lindy.”
The class will be taught by internationally known instructors, Sara Deckard and Thomas Blacharz. Guests have two options to choose from: $15 per person for social dancing from 8:30 to 11 p.m. or $38 per person which includes dance lessons, light tapas from Ludwig’s as well as the social dancing, starting at 6 p.m.
The tapas menu for the evening includes smoked trout crostini, crispy salmon cake with herb sauce, stuffed mushroom with Boursin cheese, beef sliders, truffle tots and a cheese display. Desserts will include chocolate profiteroles, cinnamon sugar dusted beignets with vanilla sauce and mini fruit tarts.
