Today's activity: Checking out the flow and hatch on the Eagle River
Conditions: Conditions are prime for local fly fisherman right now, and on the Eagle River in the Vail Valley the fish are indeed biting. In the evenings the hatch is quite visible as a cloud of bugs can be seen hovering above the water. Those bugs move through quite a life cycle, which is more of an aquatic life cycle than you may think, local guides explain.
Tuesday's weather: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 64. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph. — National Weather Service
