VAIL — The Vail Recreation District’s 2014 La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Series continues on Sunday with the La Sportiva Vail Half Marathon.

The race, which is presented by the Vail Valley Medical Center, begins at 8 a.m. at Golden Peak adjacent to the Children’s Ski School building and ascends on gravel trails and single track including the Grand Traverse Trail and Lucy’s Loop. The run takes place during Vail’s peak wildflower season and runners are sure to see an abundance of colors throughout their run. This is the fourth race in the seven race series, which is presented by The North Face, which is providing each runner with their cool tech T-shirts while supplies last.
