Summer yoga and swim camp coming to Eagle
Ryan Summerlin May 14, 2012
Eagle Athletic Club will host a kids summer yoga and swim camp in June and July, offering kids a chance to creatively explore yoga, followed by an hour-long swim beach party at the Eagle Athletic Club pool.
Instructor Erin Fernandez believes that yoga helps children to be comfortable in their own skin and loves to explore self expression with kids through yoga. Kids will be introduced to the science of yoga through fun, energetic and challenging poses. Campers will also play games, testing their strength and balance, followed by mindful discussion and reflection.
“Yoga is a child’s way to vibrantly connect with the Universe – creating self-awareness to nurture themselves and their environments,” Fernandez said.
Attendees should bring beach balls and yoga pants to this one-of-a-kind summer yoga camp. After an hour of blending yoga with laughter and fun, campers will get to cool off with a pool party.
Camp will be offered in two sessions (one in June, one in July) on Mondays from 9:45 a.m. to noon. The camp is for children ages 6 and up. Camper must be able to swim independently (life guard will be present during beach party). Cost $60 per session. Call Eagle Athletic Club to register at 970-328-6316.
