Tele workshop is Saturday at Beaver Creek

BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – Beaver Creek will host its first coed telemark workshop of the season on Saturday, providing a social and learning environment for all ability level telemark skiers. The workshop provides an opportunity to develop basic technique or refine skills in a relaxed, supportive and fun learning environment. Instruction will be provided by pros from the Beaver Creek Ski & Snowboard School.Additional coed telemark workshops in Beaver Creek will be offered Saturdays Jan. 28, Feb. 25 and March 10. The coed workshops are geared towards men and women of all abilities, ages 17 and up. Instructors will be focusing on technique and movement analysis.Beaver Creek will also host kids’ telemark workshops scheduled for this Sunday and March 3. The kids’ workshops are for ages 6-15 and offer an introduction to the telemark experience. Kids’ tele clinics are limited to 24 students and are taught by Beaver Creek instructors. A kids’ tele rental punch card is available for $110 and provides five rentals.Also back by popular demand will be a one-time “super Sunday” women’s-only telemark workshop taking place Feb. 5. All workshops take place from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. and reservations are strongly encouraged. Participants should meet at the Beaver Creek Nordic Center at 8:30 a.m. Discounted rentals are available, including boots from Garmont and Scarpa and skis from K2 and Volkl. Adults who need to rent equipment for the day are encouraged to arrive between 8-8:15 a.m. to allow time for proper fitting.Workshops are $87 per person for the lesson only. The lift ticket and lesson price is $147 per person.
