Todd Johnson debuts at Comedy Night at the Bowlmor

EAGLE – It’s a long way from the nether lands of Idaho to the city lights of Denver, but Todd Johnson seems to have nimbly navigated his way to become one of Denver’s top comics. He’ll ply those comic stylings March 2 at 8 p.m., as he marks his debut appearance as the headliner for “Comedy Night at the Bowlmor” at The Back Bowl in Eagle.
Making his first stage appearance over a decade ago as a dare from some friends, Johnson was immediately intoxicated by the energy of the lights and the attention that came with it. Even better was the fact that he was actually a natural at the art standup from the beginning.
But, the road from Idaho to larger markets was one fraught with challenges as he needed to hold his own against some of the best talent in the country – all looking to take it to the next level. As the saying goes, the cream always rises, and it wasn’t long before Johnson was receiving invitations to participate or compete in some of the top comedy showcases and competitions in the country.
In recent years, Johnson has appeared at the prestigious Aspen Comedy Festival, Atlanta’s popular Laughing Skull Festival and he was a finalist at the iconic Seattle International Comedy Competition.
Opening the evening will Denver comedian Kristin Rand. Her energetic style and powerhouse approach to comedy have set her on a solid trajectory to become a mainstay on Denver’s very dynamic comedy club circuit. Her undeniable stage presence has allowed her to perform at many of the top shops in the region.
Tickets are on sale now for $12 in advance and $15 on the day of the show. They also encourage groups to take advantage of special pricing for groups of 8 or more. Tickets can be purchased in person, or by phone with a credit card.
