Remembering the Holocaust

On Tuesday, April 22nd, B'nai Vail Congregation will host a community program which examines the Holocaust in the light of those who resisted the Nazis and worked to impede their plans. The event will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Edwards Chapel. The program will include a short video about the Jewish Partisans (Resistance Movement) featuring Ed Asner and Larry King, and locals Father Jim Baird and Reverend Scott Beebe speaking about Catholics and Lutherans who resisted and saved Jews during WWII.  The program will also include lighting of memorial candles for the 6 million Jews killed during the Holocaust and a short memorial (yizkor) service.
