Vail Daily Town Talk: Remember the fallen

Local law enforcement agencies, Eagle River Fire District and Eagle County Paramedic Services will be paying tribute to all of the fallen New York City first responders, military and civil service personnel in the Pentagon and crew and passengers on American Airline flights that were lost on September 11, 2001. A memorial processional will commence from Ford Park at 10:15 a.m. and meet with other first responder units and local residents at the Freedom Park Memorial – EMS, 911 and veterans. The Pentagon 700 pound piece of Limestone is located in Freedom Park on a 12 foot stand and is the only piece from the west wall of the Pentagon that is located in Colorado. A moment of silence will be observed for all who were lost in this most tragic event in American history at 11:03 a.m. Please join our memorial processional en route to Freedom Park in Edwards.
