African Cats Photo Exhibit
The Vail Public Library will feature an African Cats photo exhibition by 14-year Edwards resident Butch Mazzuca. The two-week exhibit will be held in the library’s community room and will run from June 15 through June 30. Mazzuca teaches DSLR Photography—Fundamentals Plus at Colorado Mountain College in Edwards and is a regular contributor to the Vail Daily’s commentary section. Mazzuca’s wildlife images have been featured in Africa Geographic, Travel Africa and Shutter Bug magazines, by the Denver Audubon Society and The Wildlife Experience, a wildlife conservation museum featuring natural history, fine art and film located in Parker. Proceeds from the sale of all photographs will be donated to The Africa Predator Project, a conservation program operated by wildlife biologists Bill Given and Dr. Lowell Nicolous in conjunction with the Denver Zoo.
The Vail Public Library is located at 292 West Meadow Drive and is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays and from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
