Hunter safety

By Colorado statute, everyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, who applies for a Colorado hunting license or preference point must have successfully completed an approved hunter education course. The Eagle County 4-H Shooting Sports Club will be offering a two-day Hunter Safety Class on Saturday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, March 1, at 8 a.m. at the Eagle Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. You must attend both days. Registration begins at 7 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 28. For more information or to pre-register in advance, please contact Chris Melzer at 970-376-8411. The Whistling Bullets Shooting Club will have breakfast, lunch and snacks available for sale at the class.
