Vail Daily letter: Difference in weapons
Ryan Summerlin January 16, 2013
While any gun violence is unacceptable in our society, it is notable that the Thursday, Jan. 11 school shooting in California resulted in no deaths and the arrest of the shooter.
Compare that to the other recent mass killings. What is the difference?
Well it would seem to be a lot more difficult to inflict mass murders with a shotgun than a semi-automatic assault rifle and a multi-shot ammunition clip.
It would seem irrefutable that these assault weapons do not belong in any society. They belong on the battle field, and a total ban on their sale and possession will make everyone a lot safer!
