Vail Daily letter: Padilla family thankful to great community
Ryan Summerlin February 28, 2013
On Feb. 1, our family lost a loving wife, mom, grandma, friend and bingo buddy.
We would sincerely like to thank the community of Eagle County, all our old friends from Red Cliff, Minturn and Gypsum. and all our new friends we have made over the years.
Thank you to all of you who have supported our family through phone calls, visits, a meal brought over to our house and most importantly, your prayers.
Special thanks to those who helped us personally: Diane Sandoval, Debbie Mascarenas, Tanesha Lozano, Darlene Medina, Rachael Sandoval and Gloria Trujillo, who did a wonderful job in preparing the food; to Randy and Jamie Quintana for helping us at the cemetery; to all of our friends in Alamosa who traveled a distance to support our family; to Merissa Pena and Eagle Lodge and Suites for the accommodations for our families who traveled a great distance.
Your generosity and compassion are greatly appreciated, and our family is very humbled to know that this community we live in is a great community of friends who cared for and loved our wife, mom and grandma Lucia “Lucy” Padilla.
She will be sorely missed and never forgotten!
Thanks for everything you have done and continue to do. God bless you all.
