What services do you provide?
We are a full-service, storefront travel agency — a rare commodity in our area. We handle it all: vacation packages, airline tickets, cruises, hotels, rail tickets, car rentals and travel insurance.
What’s new or exciting at your business?
The fact that we are here locally and you can stop in and see us, whether it’s to pick up a brochure or to discuss some travel options. Of course, this can be done by email or over the phone, but in this age of technology there’s comfort in seeing who you are dealing with and knowing that you are supporting a local small business.
What strategy do you use to differentiate your business from your competition?
In addition to being a storefront agency that is actually here for you (not in Denver or another state), we were chosen by Virtuoso and CWT Vacations as an affiliate, which gives us global connections with hotels, cruise lines and tour companies. This means we have access to exclusive travel offers that you can’t get through any other local travel agency or on your own.
What philosophy do you follow in dealing with your customers?
We are advocates for our clients. Whether it’s dealing with a canceled flight at the airport or assuring you receive all promised amenities from a tour company or hotel or just working on those illusive airline seats, it’s our job to help provide the best travel experience possible. We can help plan your business trip, family reunion, weekend getaway or that trip of a lifetime. We recognize each trip is important to you, the traveler, and we treat each trip with the same attention to detail.
Tell us a little about your background, education and experience.
Pam Adamski has been a travel agent in the Vail Valley for more than 20 years. Originally from Wisconsin, she holds those Midwest work ethics close to heart. The best education for a travel agent is travel, and Pam has been from Africa to Australia, China to Europe and most points in between. Exploring the U.S. is also important to Pam. She continually takes specialization courses, attends travel trade shows, seminars, webinars and conferences. Travel is her passion and she would love the chance to share her knowledge and attention to detail with you on your next trip.
Heidi Mellor Bourke also has been a travel agent in the Vail Valley for more than 15 years. She is originally from Massachusetts and cherishes her New England roots. Married with two school-aged children, she knows first-hand the challenges parents face traveling with children and how important it is to try to satisfy everyone. She brings that knowledge to her clients, and they appreciate her no-nonsense approach. As a family, they have recently been on a cruise as well as experiencing other family oriented travel. She welcomes the opportunity to give you the same wonderful memories.
What is the most humorous thing that has happened at your business since you opened?
Dealing with the airlines can be anything but humorous, but during a recent call, the airline agent asked if our client would be “driving from LA to Honolulu”! Unfortunately, she was serious!
