EAGLE COUNTY — A Vail woman was killed early Wednesday morning in a one-car accident on Interstate 70 just east of Eagle.
The Colorado State Patrol reports that Samantha J. Roberts, 25, was driving westbound on I-70 at about 12:30 a.m. The investigation showed that Roberts was driving through a right-hand curve in the road when she lost control of her 2001 Subaru Outback. Police say the car started to spin, then drove across the right lane, right shoulder and into the grassy area just off the road. The vehicle then spun back into the road, hitting the paved shoulder, which caused the car to roll three times.
Roberts, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the car as it rolled.
