Veterans Day ceremony at Freedom Park canceled due to weather

EDWARDS, Colorado – Today’s Veterans Day ceremony in Freedom Park has been canceled.

What: Veterans Day ceremony.

When: 3 p.m. Sunday.

Where: Freedom Park, Edwards.

Information: The Freedom Park Memorial Committee and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10721 will be conducting its sixth annual ceremony in honor of all Veterans of the Armed Forces who have served our country, those from Eagle County who paid the ultimate sacrifice for freedom and those on active duty serving their country at this time. The keynote speaker will be Berne Krueger, lieutenant colonel (retired), United States Marine Corps. The program will include Maj. Rick Webster, Christ Church Anglican Eagle Valley, Boy Scout Troops 231 and 222 , recognition of Eagle County World War II vets, recognition of active duty service members and their families, and “Taps” played by Collin Idzikowski from Battle Mountain High School.
