From masquerade parties and fireworks displays, to family carnivals and a ‘Wolfpack,’ one thing is for sure – the start of 2012 will be anything but mundane. Here’s a look at New Year’s Eve celebrations going on up and down our fair valley Saturday night.

Unmask 2012 with CinebistroCinebistro is hosting a “Unmask 2012 party,” a dress-to-impress event with a grand prize for the best mask. The $150 tickets gets you complimentary beer and wine (three drinks per person), entertainment by DJ Weez, a chocolate fountain, passed appetizers, midnight champagne toast and more. Come watch skiers form a glowing train as they ski down Golden Peak, illuminated with glow sticks. New Year’s Eve Family Carnival The New Year’s Eve Family Carnival at Beaver Creek takes place at McCoy’s, at Gerald R. Ford Hall near the base of the Centennial Express Lift #6 from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Spend New Year’s Eve with the whole family. The carnival features live entertainment, games, raffle prizes and more. All ages welcome.
