Single vehicle crash kills Glenwood man Monday

GYPSUM — A Glenwood Springs man died when his truck rolled off the westbound land of Interstate 70, slightly east of Gypsum.

Evan Carrington, 18, of Glenwood Springs, was dead at the scene, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

Around 8 a.m. Monday, Carrington was driving west along Interstate 70 when his 1999 Ford Ranger pickup went off the south side, spun around and rolled through the median. The vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing east, on the inside shoulder of the eastbound lane.

Carrington was wearing his seatbelt, and alcohol and drugs are not suspected, said Trooper Josh Lewis, with the Colorado State Patrol.
