Vail Daily letter: Thanks for great Riverfest
August 27, 2013
Following a fantastic day of celebrating our incredible local rivers with a great float trip on the Colorado, music, good food and good times at the Colorado River Ranch, the Eagle River Watershed Council would like to thank all of those folks who made the fourth annual Riverfest event a sold-out success and fantastic time. The near perfect summer weather didn't hurt, either!
Big thanks to Oldcastle Materials-B&B Excavating, Homestake Partners, American Rivers, Chaco Energy Company, Black Diamond Research, New Electric, R&H Mechanical, Leonard Rice Engineers, Watershed Environmental Consultants and Land Planning Collaborative.
More thanks goes to Eagle County, Bonfire Brewing, Eagle Valley Trout Unlimited, West Vail Liquor Mart, Stand Up Paddle Colorado for the SUPs, Lakota Guides for the rafts and guides and Timberline Tours for the transportation, our generous hosts at the Colorado River Ranch for the venue and delicious all natural beef, the Olora Brothers, Moe's BBQ, Alotta Hoopla, and Mountain Valley Horse Rescue.
We also want to thank our fantastic, hard-working volunteers: Zak, Tony, Mark, Shane, LeAnne, Gary and Linn.
Most of all, thanks to the fun crowd that made this year's Riverfest the best ever. Your interest and investment in conservation of our area rivers and streams is what makes Eagle County a truly special place.
