Vail Daily letter: A big thank you

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Thank you to the Vail Valley Foundation for doing such an unbelievable job on the bidding, planning and presentation of the 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships. Thank you to Ceil Folz, Harry Frampton and their staff for the sincere effort and commitment it took to bring the World Championships to Vail and Beaver Creek for the third time. You all did a wonderful job in upholding the integrity of this event and contributing to the history of this world class community. Praises to you from everyone who was able to enjoy the event — from the Austria Ski House and the hotel guests, to the international audience and the local residents.

Thank you Vail Resorts, for making it possible for our mountains to host the World Championships again. The success of this event was made possible by the on-snow precision and impeccable interaction created by their teams of dedicated staff, who consistently make this valley a venue of professionalism, alongside the wonderful businesses and efficient transportation from Vail and Beaver Creek, and, of course, perfect piste.

But most of all, thank you to the all the volunteers. Every minute you dedicated and every smile you served made the event an experience of a lifetime for the athletes, this community and our international guests. Your dedication did not go unnoticed, so thank you for demonstrating the true meaning of hospitality as ambassadors of this valley.

On behalf of Pepi, myself and the Austria Ski House, we are very proud to have had the opportunity to be a host for the 1989, 1999 and 2015 Alpine World Ski Championships.
