AVON — Raymond A. Bleesz, the co-founder of the Vail Valley Art Guild Photographer’s Group, will be having a photo exhibit at Art of the Vail Valley Gallery in Avon through June.
The exhibit kicks off today with a wine and cheese event and an open reception for the general public from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
“Man’s Landscapes, Man at Work & Remnants of Man, His Place in the Environment” covers 41 years of photographic work done by Bleesz.
The exhibit is composed of 26 images, all black and white photos.
Bleesz made a commitment to photography in 1976 when he stepped away from teaching to become a photographer. He considers himself both a student and teacher of the school of photography known as straight photography, or documentary photography.
Other artisans and photographers are also showing new work this month at Art of the Vail Valley Gallery in Avon.
Local dancers attend classes in New York ranging from ballet to Broadway.
