Artist at work: Ben Roth creating site-specific art in Vail this week
Jackson Hole artist Ben Roth is in Vail this week working on a site-specific environmental installation on West Meadow Drive, just east of the library.
Roth is the same artist who created the award-winning The Singing Trees installation in Ford Park from split lodgepole in 2010.
Roth and Sam Mackey will be at it all week with completion of the project set for Friday.
The public is invited to meet the artist on Friday with cookies and lemonade from 1 to 2 p.m. Vail ART Pass members are invited to a picnic lunch with Roth on Friday from noon to 1 p.m.; lunch will be served on-site at his environmental installation. RSVP by June 21 to Molly Eppard at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 970-479-2344.
