Castle Peak Veterinary Services in Eagle and Edwards has been treating the Vail Valley’s feline and canine residents for more than three decades now. Locals love those deep business roots, said Castle Peak’s Diana Rasmussen McKinney.

Julie Alt is still practicing at the clinic she started in 1985. Denny Simonton, who grew up in Vail, joined her a couple of years later. Steven Conlin and Jennifer Wells round out the medical crew at Castle Peak. The small animal practice offers both general and specialty services such as animal acupuncture, dentistry and laser treatment along with boarding services. Additionally, a board certified veterinarian travels to the clinics to perform specialty surgeries.

But what makes Castle Peak the local favorite? Maybe it’s the fact that the staff seems to love your pet as much as you do.

“We will go way beyond to make everybody happy,” McKinney said.
