Chateau Beaver Creek upgrades on-site amenities with new fitness studio, spa remodel

One of the Chateau Beaver Creek's most picturesque amenities is the flower-filled terrace with a heated indoor/outdoor pool and an outdoor hot tub, both open year-round and perfect for stargazing. There's also a well-appointed fitness room, a skier's lounge and a revamped spa that will be unveiled this fall.

BEAVER CREEK — Known by many as “the castle on the hill,” the Chateau Beaver Creek is one of the Vail Valley’s most exclusive properties, with one of the most private locations.

In recent online reviews, guests have called the private residence club “paradise,” a “true fairy tale location” and “the perfect place.”

Chateau Beaver Creek announces its newest amenities — a new fitness room called The Studio where guests can take complimentary yoga, Pilates and popular fitness classes in the winter and summer seasons, and a complete spa remodel underway now. These new additions to the Chateau experience reflect the property’s attention to detail and focus on a comprehensive luxury experience. While its mountainside perch adjacent to Beaver Creek’s ski trails is just a short walk or complimentary shuttle ride from the resort’s bustling shops, restaurants and galleries, the Chateau is peaceful and secluded, a true reprieve from an increasingly busy world.

“By rounding out the amenities at Chateau Beaver Creek we’ve created a private enclave that allows our guests and residents to fully enjoy their time here,” said Jeannette Schulze, the managing director of Chateau Beaver Creek.

In addition to the new fitness studio and refreshed spa, with renovations underway now, Chateau amenities include a well-appointed fitness room with state-of-the-art strength training equipment; a flower-filled terrace featuring a heated indoor/outdoor pool and an outdoor hot tub, both open year-round and perfect for stargazing; and the acclaimed Splendido at the Chateau restaurant.

“Whether taking advantage of Splendido, enjoying on-site wellness opportunities in our gym or in the new fitness studio, taking a refreshing swim or a relaxing soak in our hot tub, rejuvenating in our newly remodeled spa, or escaping to the mountain from our back door, we want our guests and residents to know we have everything available to them right here,” Schulze said.

Coming this fall, Chateau Beaver Creek will unveil its remodeled spa that includes brand new saunas in both the men and women’s locker areas to further complement the existing steam room and whirlpool tub. Each area of the spa, including the three treatment rooms, will feature a new tranquil color scheme of grays and blues and design touches like granite countertops and cabinetry and decor that will feel equally luxurious and comfortable to guests. Additionally, the skier lounge, conveniently located just 20 steps from the slopes, is also in the process of being refreshed.

“There is so much research out about how important it is to not only stay physically and mentally active at all stages of life, but to also have meaningful personal interactions and experiences. The Chateau experience really gives our guests the unique opportunity to both escape from the outside world and engage with those close to them,” Schulze said.

More About The Studio

The new studio is a 425-square-foot room featuring a fully mirrored wall with a ballet barre and a multitude of supplies for classes. The room includes state-of-the-art technology, including built-in speakers and a 55-inch LCD television that guests and residents can use to stream fitness, yoga and Pilates videos when a class isn’t in session.

“Our guests and owners come to Beaver Creek to focus on their healthy, active lifestyles and we wanted to add amenities that really complemented their commitment to wellness,” said Tanya Walker, the rental and marketing manager at Chateau Beaver Creek. “So far they’ve been thrilled with the new studio and the multitude of classes we offer.”

Along with yoga and Pilates, instructors teach HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) and Barre classes. Three to four classes take place weekly in The Studio and are taught by well-regarded instructors including longtime local Elizabeth Sullivan, who teaches Pilates and yoga, and fitness coach Christy Samuelson.

Access to both The Studio and The Spa are available to owners and rental guests staying at Chateau Beaver Creek. Eighteen of the private residence club’s 65 luxury properties are available to rent through the property’s rental program, which includes accommodations ranging from studios to five-bedroom chalets.
