EDWARDS — Cheryl Deer, a 500-hour experienced registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance and a Forrest Yoga guardian, will lead a yoga workshop at Dogma Athletica in The Riverwalk at Edwards today from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Deer’s teaching is rooted in the Forrest Yoga philosophy, an approach designed to address the stresses and challenges of daily life and support a journey toward physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Her classes and workshops are designed to leave practitioners awakened and inspired.
In this core-strengthening workshop, participants will relieve discomfort through breath and movement; increase their sense of empowerment and self-care; feel more content, satisfied, replenished and nourished and gain the ability to serve others in an authentic and enthusiastic way.
Deer will focus on nourishing the soul and body after a long winter season: physically, mentally, emotionally, energetically and spiritually. Attendees can expect to receive gentle yet powerful adjustments, connect to their core and engage in their practice in a way that brings greater presence, healing and transformation.
In addition to teaching classes, workshops and teacher trainings in Denver, Deer also spends time each year assisting Ana Forrest, creator of Forrest Yoga. She draws on her knowledge from Forrest and her many years of experience to teach how to bring spirit into life. For yoga videos and more information, go to http://www.cheryldeeryoga.com.
