Organizers for the event that brings tribute bands into Colorado each year under a specific theme will be selling single-day tickets for $49 for the festival taking place June 23 and 24.
share the gift of music
The single-day passes are general admission only and give purchasers full access to the entire day’s musical acts recreating the British Invasion that will be performing from 2 to 10 p.m. Children younger than 12 accompanied by a paying adult will be admitted free to this year’s event and also have access to the Piccadilly Circus Kids Zone with activities organized by Eagle Valley Library District.
“The thought behind Cover Rock is an affordable means to share the gift of live music with multiple generations,” said event promoter Tom Dobrez. “Last year, we had a number of families at the event and we wanted to expand that opportunity. Children are welcome and it is encouraged because they need to hear this music which is not just the music of a generation, but some of the best music of all time that transcends age differences.”
On Friday, June 23, The British Invasion Years will perform first. The band covers the one hit wonders of the era as well as the unique American response to the new sounds emanating from across the pond.
Then later Friday, it’s a rare chance to see the music of the Kinks performed live plus the world’s top Eric Clapton tribute, Kevin Russell, performing the Cream of Clapton — a deep dive into the guitar god’s early catalogue. The day’s headliners is the greatest concert that never happened as The Beatles battle the Rolling Stones on stage.
On Saturday, June 24, attendees will get their afternoon started with a visit from Queen Nation followed by a transcendent afternoon performance by Time Traveller as The Moody Blues. From there, the evening turns into a rock ‘n’ roll dream as Led Zeppelica rocks the Nottingham Park stage followed by a laser light spectacular as The Machine performs Pink Floyd.
Organizers also announced a plethora of food trucks and music inspired artists will be selling their wares at the event. Two-day general admission and VIP tickets also remain for The British Invasion at coverrock festival.com.
