EJ Cox Band comes to Minturn Summer Concert Series on Thursday, Aug. 2
Colorado singer-songwriter EJ Cox was born and raised in Florida with grandparents playing the “old time” fiddle and cousins pickin’ on the banjo. By age 7, Cox began learning by ear how to play the upright piano.
“Roots country” at his core, Cox performs two nearby shows in August with his band, made up of members who have played with everyone from Jeff Bridges and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to Clint Black and Roger Miller.
On Thursday, Aug. 2, The EJ Cox Band performs in the free Minturn Summer Concert Series at Little Beach Park at 6 p.m. On Saturday, Aug. 4, the group performs at the Tabor Opera House in Leadville. Tickets are $15 for the performance in Leadville at The Tabor, which is more than 135 years old.
