The Vail Athletic Club is hosting a special Find Your Way yoga and meditation event with yoga teacher and coach Amy Baker on Saturday, Feb. 9. Held from 4 to 6 p.m., this workshop will fuse yoga, guided meditation, visualization and self-inquiry to lead participants on an introspective journey.
The adventure begins with a one-hour yoga class, unlocking constraints to release your emotions and inhibitions. Then a guided meditation and visualization will follow to open your consciousness to unseen possibilities and new paths. Baker will then lead her signature practice for uncovering your true value and vision by exploring career aspirations, life path and relationships to set an intention and journey to success.
“We cannot do this work alone, I tried for many years, trust me, it didn’t work,” Baker said. “Over my 10 plus years of teaching and leading teacher trainings, I have seen groups coalesce and bond to truly support each other on their path. It has powerfully affected my own life and I look forward to sharing this.”
With a degree in exercise physiology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Baker has more than a decade of yoga teaching experience, including founding Yoga in the Eagle Town Park, and working with Come Back Yoga, which benefits veterans. Baker recently moved back to the Vail Valley after spending several years in Denver.
“Amy is a beloved and inspiring local yoga teacher and the Vail Athletic Club is looking forward to her sharing her work and vision,” said Vail Athletic Club Yoga Director Karen Anderson. “Amy’s new workshop will use the yoga practice as a springboard for inquiry and growth; don’t miss this opportunity to orient yourself toward your own aspirations.”
Yoga practitioners of all skill levels are invited to join.
The class is $30 per person. For more information or to reserve a spot, call 970-476-7960 or visit http://www.vail athleticclub.com.
