VAIL — Green Elephant Juicery returns to Chefs in the Gardens Thursday, July 20, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater lobby. Chef Osha Groetz will prepare vegetable flax seed crackers, hearts of palm ceviche and horchata chia pudding.
Green Elephant Juicery, established in 2014, is a local, 100-percent organic cafe that serves cold pressed, fresh juices, house-made smoothies, snacks, entrees and desserts.
Matthew Stearns, Ashley Perry and Groetz will be sharing quick tips to making delicious, nutritious food for people on the go.
Green Elephant’s flagship location is in Avon, with two satellite locations in Lionshead and West Vail — and they are now offering delivery available Mondays through Sundays throughout the valley.
About Chefs in the Gardens
Chefs in the Gardens is a six-week summer program at Betty Ford Alpine Gardens. The program offers a unique and intimate live cooking experience.
Local chefs from area restaurants demonstrate cooking techniques and share culinary tips and recipes. Participants will receive a sampling of the prepared food following the demonstration.
The cost for the program is $5. Current members of the Gardens may call the Gardens at 970-476-0103, ext. 3, to reserve a seat for the program prior to the event.
Free Memorial Day screening of “They Shall Not Grow Old” is one-off event before the Vilar Performing Arts Center’s summer series kicks off next month.
