GYPSUM — Oktoberfest hits Gypsum this Saturday, Oct. 5, for a family-friendly celebration featuring food, music, games and more.

Gypsum Octoberfest is planned from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Lundgren Theater Park.

“Put on your lederhosen and dirndls and bring the whole family,” said Tracy Stramski, one of the Gypsum Chamber members who is organizing the eighth annual event. “The idea is everyone likes to get a bit German during the fall.”

The event will include a number of food and craft vendors. Bonfire Brewing from Eagle will be on site to sell its special Gyptoberfest creation. Various contests are planned and there will be special activities for the kids. The celebration will feature music by A Band Called Alexis — a newly formed country group.
