Gypsum Public Library hours extended; library hosts party March 4
GYPSUM — The Eagle Valley Library District this week announced that it is changing the hours at the Gypsum Public Library. The library is now open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The library is closed on Sundays. All hours for the district can be viewed online at http://www.evld.org.
The EVLD Board of Trustees unanimously approved changing the hours at the Gypsum Public Library based on staff reports, user surveys, library use patterns and program attendance statistics.
“The new hours will more effectively meet the needs of library users of all ages,” said Linda Tillson, director of the Eagle Valley Library District.
The new hours “will allow for more after-school and Saturday activities, longer access to study rooms, meeting spaces, computers and Wi-Fi for people who may not have access to these resources anywhere else,” said Nicole Scheiblberg, manager of the Gypsum Pubic Library.
The Eagle Valley Library District will host a Dr. Seuss-themed party on Saturday at the Gypsum Public Library to celebrate the new hours. There will be games, crafts, movies and refreshments. All ages are welcome. For more information, visit http://www.evld.org or call the Gypsum Public Library at 970-524-5080.
