Knox Gallery in Beaver Creek will be displaying works by artist Martha Pettigrew today and Sunday.
The artist’s works will be on display from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
Pettigrew is best known for her renditions of indigenous women in bronze and is equally adept with a paint brush and oil paint. Her sculptures can be seen in the Hoffmann Commercial Real Estate Collection throughout Avon, including her works “The Drummer,” “The Searcher” and “Coastal Spirits Monument.”
Her bronzes are also in many other municipal, state and private collections throughout North America and as far away as Dubai.
Pettigrew has been the recipient of numerous awards for her work.
“If I have achieved my goal as a sculptor, the viewer will feel an emotional attachment and sense of pride, dignity and serenity with the subjects,” she said.
