More comedy and concerts coming to Beaver Creek this winter

The Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek recently announced more concerts and comedy acts that are coming this winter. Tickets are already on sale for these shows at VilarPAC.org. Here are some of the upcoming acts.
Live from Laurel Canyon Presents James & Joni: Their Stories, Their Songs – Saturday, Jan. 18
“James & Joni: Their Stories, Their Songs” chronicles the careers of two songwriting icons: James Taylor and Joni Mitchell presented in the style of Live from Laurel Canyon with narrated stories about their lives and the songs you know and love.

Marcus King: An Intimate Acoustic Evening featuring Drew Smithers – Friday, Jan. 24
Songwriter. Guitarist. Singer. Bandleader. At only 20 years of age, Marcus King’s dazzling musical ability is evident. With a fiery brand of American roots music that King calls “soul-influenced psychedelic southern rock,” his rough-hewn vocals, soaring guitar work and heartfelt songwriting is quickly making him one of the most sought after live acts in the country.

JJ Grey & Mofro: Olustee Tour – Friday, Jan. 31

Anjelah Johnson-Reyes: The Family Reunion Tour – Wednesday, March 12
Anjelah Johnson-Reyes is one of the most successful stand-up comedians today with six streaming comedy specials and selling out theaters across the world. Her most recent special, “Say I Won’t,” debuted with over 3.8 million views. Johnson-Reyes has guest appeared in TV shows including “Life & Beth,” “Superstore,” “The Shield,” “Ugly Betty,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and in film including “Enough Said” and “Our Family Wedding” to name a few.
Kevin Nealon – Friday, March 21
Kevin Nealon sets himself apart from other comedic performers with his unique sense of humor, dry wit and likable demeanor. Nealon is best known for his nine-year stint on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live,” and received critical acclaim for his role in the hit Showtime series “Weeds.” Nealon has found great comedic success in film including “Anger Management,” “Eight Crazy Nights,” “The Wedding Singer,” “Happy Gilmore,” “Just Go with It,” “You Don’t Mess with the Zohan,” “Joe Dirt,” “Daddy Day Care” and “Grandma’s Boy.” This show is best suited for audience members ages 18 years and older.
Matt Nathanson: King of (un)simple Tour with support from KT Tunstall – Thursday, March 27
Over his almost 30-year career, Matt Nathanson has evolved into one of the most applauded songwriters and engaging performers on the music scene today. His sixth studio album, “Some Mad Hope,” yielded his breakthrough multi-platinum hit “Come on Get Higher.” Opening for Nathanson is Grammy-nominated Scottish musician KT Tunstall.
