Mountain Youth will host its Forging Connections fundraising event on Oct. 23 at Vail Golf and Nordic Clubhouse. The evening will feature nationally recognized speaker Doug Dvorak, an expert in promoting a positive mental attitude and fostering connections and atmospheres where audience members are able to learn and grow.
“When you connect with people authentically, you unlock opportunities for growth, understanding, and collaboration,” Dvorak said. Attendees will learn practical strategies on how to shine a positive light on adverse circumstances through Dvorak’s own personal and professional experiences, all while supporting Mountain Youth’s programs for local youth.
Youth awards will be presented to a few exceptional young people that exemplify leadership and are driving positive change within the community. In celebrating these youth leaders, Mountain Youth hopes to highlight their extraordinary efforts while also encouraging other youth to recognize their own agency and ability to make a change in their community.
“This event is a chance for our community to come together for meaningful connection, support the youth of Eagle County and be inspired by an inspirational speaker,” said Nick Krishnan, marketing and events manager for Mountain Youth.
Tickets are $75 per individual or two for $125. RSVP online at MountainYouth.org/Fundraising. Mountain Youth would like to thank the following sponsors for making Forging Connections possible: Discover Vail, The Faeder Collaborative, Vail Health, RA Nelson, Hood Insurance Company and Alpine Bank.
