Special to the Daily
The Werks will perform at Agave in Avon on Wednesday, March 15, as a preview to their new album, “Magic,” which drops on Friday, March 17. Poignant songwriting and engaging melody came together for this record that showcases the band’s maturation as a multidimensional group of creative musicians. This will be The Werks’ fourth album since 2009, and in that time, they’ve earned a reputation as an energetic, compelling and entertaining live act. “This is our first truly multi-genre album,” said guitarist Chris Houser. “Each track has its own unique vibe and sound.” Cure for the Common will be opening the evening with their Montana-grown electro-thunder funk. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and the show starts at 10 p.m.; tickets are $10. For more information, call 970-748-8666 or visit www.agaveavon.com.
